Safety guidelines

How we keep the marketplace trustworthy, and how you can protect yourself.

For job seekers

  • Never pay an employer to apply, for training, for equipment or for a "visa fee". Legitimate employers don't ask for money.
  • Don't share bank details, passwords or identity documents before you have a written offer you've checked.
  • Meet for the first time in a public place, or by video, and tell someone where you're going.
  • Be cautious with offers that are vague, pay far above the norm, or pressure you to decide quickly.

When you meet an employer

  • Interviews and trial shifts are arranged through the Fiondr team. Be cautious of anyone contacting you outside Fiondr claiming to represent a listing.
  • For childcare, elder care, healthcare and regulated trades, you may be asked for background checks or licenses. These are only requested with your consent and as the law where the job is allows.
  • You should only ever be asked job-related questions. Report any question about age, religion, nationality, marital status, health or other protected characteristics.

What Fiondr does

  • Every job is agreed directly with the employer and published by our own team.
  • Anyone signed in can report a job. Our team reviews every report.
  • We suspend accounts and employers that break these rules, and keep an audit trail of every decision.

In an emergency

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report the account to us.
