Medical Assistant

Riverside Family Clinic is hiring two Medical Assistants for our primary care team in Sacramento, CA. We see around 90 patients a day across four providers, and our medical assistants keep the day running: patients are roomed on time, charts are ready, and nobody leaves with an unanswered question. What you will do: - Room patients, take vital signs and update medication lists and allergies in the chart - Give vaccines and injections, draw blood and run point-of-care tests (A1c, strep, UA) under provider orders - Prepare and restock exam rooms and keep sterilization logs up to date - Help providers with procedures such as wound care, suture removal and EKGs - Handle prescription refill requests and prior authorizations in the EHR - Call patients with normal results and follow-up instructions About you: - A California medical assistant certification (CCMA, CMA or RMA) - At least one year working as an MA in a clinic or urgent care - Comfortable with an EHR (we use eClinicalWorks; training is provided) - Calm, kind and clear with patients who are unwell or worried - Spanish, Hmong or Russian is a real plus for our patients, but not required What we offer: - $22 to $25.50 per hour, depending on experience - Medical, dental and vision insurance from your first month - 15 days of paid time off plus 8 paid holidays - No evenings, weekends or on-call - Paid continuing education and a clear path to Lead MA How to apply: create your Fiondr profile, upload your resume and tap "I'm interested".
