Part-Time Math Tutor

Brightside Family Services is hiring two Part-Time Math Tutors for our after-school learning center in Austin, TX. We work with students in grades 4 to 10, in small groups of no more than three, and we keep the same tutor with the same students all year so they can build trust. What you will do: - Tutor small groups in math, from fractions to Algebra 1 and Geometry - Help students with homework and prepare them for tests - Use our lesson plans and adapt them to each student - Write a short note after each session so parents know what was covered - Meet with the center director once a month to talk about progress About you: - At least one year of tutoring, teaching or coaching students - Strong in math through Algebra 2, and able to explain it simply - Patient, encouraging and reliable - A college student studying education or a STEM subject is very welcome - Able to pass a background check (we pay for it) What we offer: - $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience - Paid training before your first session - A set weekly schedule that fits around classes - Paid prep time each week How to apply: create your Fiondr profile, upload your resume and tap "I'm interested".
